New Take On The Wine Tasting!

Toasted Oak’s New Take On The Wine Tasting!

So, for those of you in the business, a trade show wine tasting is no big deal right? Vendors set up their displays and, as buyers, we stop at each table and sample what they have to offer.

For those of you not in the business, you are used to those typical, sit down wine tastings with limited offerings of wines and snacks.

Being the wine enthusiasts that we are here at TO, we decided to bring the trade show to our guests.

For a nominal charge of $10, our guests were free to sample any of the 16 wines we put on display for the day! And of course, all of the wines featured were available for retail purchase. Available also was a beautiful selection of Chef’s artisanal cheeses and house made charcuterie.

When all was said and done, we had a total of 80 guests in attendance. Not bad for a Saturday in December! It was such a success that we are strongly thinking of holding one every month! What do YOU guys think? Post on our facebook page with your thought http://www.facebook.com/toastedoakgrill

Holiday Wine

We all know how much work goes into planning a holiday dinner.

At Toasted Oak Grill & Market, we want to take some of the work out of choosing your holiday libations!

Here are 3 value priced bottles, under $20, that  we have selected from our market to put the finishing touches to your holiday event.

Nino Franco’s non-vintage sparkling Rustico Prosecco is a great value in a high quality, Champagne look-alike. The non-vintage, light-bodied Prosecco di Valdobiaddene Rustico offers gorgeously elegant, fresh, lively fruit, notes of bread dough and citrus, and persistent effervescence. $18

Naia displays aromas of lime, must and kiwi, together with the classic plant-like qualities of Verdejo. It’s beautifully fresh, with a long and dry finish. $15

Montebuena Rioja displays a brilliant deep ruby red color with fruity aromas. It has a spicy vanilla bouquet and is smooth and fruity in the mouth with some well-integrated secondary nuances. The wine is full-flavored and has a long pleasant finish.  $19

All 3 wines pair beautifully with our artisanal selection of cheese and charcuterie. Custom made platters are the perfect accompaniment to your holiday table.
